Thompson and Kinsey first met in their sophomore year of high school during a weekend trip to the mountains through young life camp. There was an instant connection, but at age 16 there were other priorities than finding your soul mate. Little did they know this weekend would be the pillar of the rest of their life.

They continued their close friendship all throughout college at UNCW where they lived just a few houses apart on Wrightsville Beach. After college Kinsey came back to Greenville to work with her father while Thompson spent the next 6 years traveling and fishing around the world.

The two reconnected when Tom and LeAnne reached out to Kinsey for real estate guidance while looking for a house for Thompson. Kinsey and Thompson spent the next few months talking and touring houses which quickly turned into phone calls during his 6+ hour drives back and forth from Maryland to Beaufort.

Thompson did not wait long after his move back to Greenville to take her on a real date. He sent Kinsey flowers on her birthday with a card that simply said "Happy Birthday. Maybe now I can take you to dinner". There was no name attached but the rest is history.

In June of 2023, they were building a home together in Greenville, NC. Throughout the building process they would spend date nights writing bible verses on the studs in each room of the house. One night, as they were writing versus in the master bedroom, Thompson proposed!

Realizing afterwards that his parents, Tom and LeAnne, got engaged the exact same way when they were building their first home together. That gave them confirmation of a firm generational foundation between the couple!

Thompson and Kinsey moved into their new dream home in November of 2023 and are so excited to create endless new memories as a soon to be married couple.
